Reverse merger
Nasdaq-listed special purpose acquisition company Anzu Special Acquisition Corp I agreed to merge with Envoy Medical Corporation, a US-based developer of treatments for the hearing impaired that counts hearing aid provider Starkey Hearing Technologies as an investor. Starkey provided $10m for a $16.4m round in 2010 that lifted Envoy Medical’s total funding to $140m.
Funding
Noah Medical, a US-based developer of navigated robotic bronchoscopy technology, raised $150m in a series B round co-led by SoftBank Vision Fund and Prosperity7 Ventures, subsidiaries of telecommunications and internet group SoftBank and oil and gas producer Saudi Aramco respectively. The round included Hillhouse Capital, Sequoia China, Shangbay Capital, Uphonest Capital, Summed Capital, Lyfe Capital, 1955 Capital, AME Cloud Ventures and undisclosed other investors.
