NoBroker expands series B with KTB Investment

NoBroker, an India-based home rental platform backed by internet company Digital Garage, has raised Rs 500m ($7.4m) to extend its series B round to $17.4m, according to Times of India.

The funding came from KTB Ventures, part of private equity and venture capital firm KTB Network. Digital Garage co-led the $10m first tranche in February 2016 with Beenext, while Qualgro, SAIF Partners and angel investor Mamoru Taniya also took part.

NoBroker operates an online platform that enables users to list properties for rent or sale, with prospective renters or buyers able to contact them directly through the service. It plans to expand from Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune and Chennai to four more Indian cities by the end of 2018.

The startup had secured seed funding from angel investor Saurabh Garg in 2014 before SAIF Partners and Fulcrum Ventures participated in a $3m series A round in February 2015.
