The $15m series C financing for Daylight Solutions, a US-based imaging systems developer, was led by US-based arms company Northrop Grumman and included an unnamed group of its previous investors.
Daylight Solutions uses so-called Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) technology which is an advanced type of infrared vision.
Jeff Palombo, general manager of Northrop Grumman’s Land and Self Protection System Division, said: "Our investment in Daylight Solutions serves as an acknowledgement of [its] leadership position in QCL-based products, and reflects our commitment to deliver best-in-class solutions to our customers in support of our warfighters."
Daylight Solutions has raised $30m in total during its history, a spokeswoman said.
