Norwest Venture Partners (NVP), the US-based venture capital firm sponsored by financial services provider Wells Fargo, has promoted Casper de Clercq and Ryan Harris to general partner.
De Clercq joined NVP in 2011 from U.S. Venture Partners, and oversees mid-to-late-stage investments in consumer and digital health, healthcare IT, medical devices and diagnostics, technology-enabled healthcare services and specialty pharmaceuticals companies.
Harris was a principal at The Carlyle Group and a venture partner at Industry Ventures before taking on a partner position at NVP in 2010. The areas in which he invests for NVP include healthcare services, healthcare IT, medical devices and specialty pharmaceuticals.
The GP promotions were made alongside the promotions of Ran Ding from Norwest’s growth equity team, and Jared Hyatt, Conrad Shang and Ed Yip from its consumer internet team to vice president roles.
