US-based mobile management company Nukona closed an undisclosed amount of funding on Wednesday from US-based software corporation Citrix Systems’ Startup Accelerator program.
In addition to Citrix, several unnamed angel investors were involved in the round. Nukona previously raised $250,000 in seed funding, in November and December 2010, though no firms were listed as backers on the US Security and Exchange filings.
Martin Duursma, vice president of Citrix Labs, said: "Startup Accelerator extends Citrix Labs’ focus on innovation by investing capital in exciting new startups that we believe have all the other ingredients to succeed. We look forward to working closely with Nukona to help enterprises as they scramble to come to terms with the rapid pace of change related to cloud computing, mobile devices and the ‘consumerisation’ of corporate IT."
