Nvelo, a US-based maker of storage software part-owned by Nasdaq-listed peer Cadence Design Systems, has raised $6.6m in its series A round.
The A round was led by venture capital firm SKS Capital and will support Nvelo’s Dataplex product line for consumer computing and the launch one for server storage caching.
Sanjay Srivastava, general partner at SKS Capital and senior vice-president of research and development at Cadence Design Systems, said: "This new capital will enable Nvelo to accelerate the development of new and disruptive products for both the client and server markets."
Earlier in the month, Cadence acquired one of Nvelo’s peers, Azuro.
