US-based Crestlight Venture Productions, an advisory that aims to find and nurture the best startups in which corporate venturing units can invest, is set to work with computer graphics company Nvidia in order to help coordinate its venture capital investments, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Crestlight is led by David Borlo, formerly vice president of strategic initiatives for AMI Entertainment Network, and seeks out the best startups and provide them with funding and expert services.
Nvidia Vice President Jeff Herbst told WSJ that the company does not have the time or resources to help develop startups and so an advisory like Crestlight, which is willing to get heavily involved at an operational level, is a useful ally.
Crestlight offers early stage investment of up to $3m and sticks with startups for up between 12 and 18 months, but also offers “lean, accountable expert services,” according to Borlo.
