US-based infrastructure management platform developer Nyansa closed a $15m series B round on Tuesday led by Intel Capital, the corporate venturing unit formed by semiconductor producer Intel.
Venture capital firm Formation 8 also contributed to the round, having previously provided $12m of series A funding for the company.
Founded in 2013, Nyansa has developed a data analytics, cloud computing and machine learning-equipped software platform called Voyance that enables enterprises to manage user performance across their entire network of services, devices and applications.
The capital will be used for strategic growth initiatives, to accelerate the commercialisation of Nyansa’s technology, and to further develop the Voyance platform.
Alexandre Villela, investment director for networking and communications infrastructure at Intel Capital, will join the company’s board of directors.
Abe Ankumah, co-founder and chief executive of Nyansa, said: “Data is now king in the networked world and is forever changing enterprise access infrastructure.
“The winners will be those who help enterprises interpret and capitalise on the volumes of data running over their networks to gain a strategic business advantage.”
