Ogury advertises $15m series B

France-based adtech producer Ogury has secured $15m in a series B round featuring marketing company ACG, Journal du Net reported yesterday.

The round was led by corporate-backed VC firm Idinvest Partners and also featured Ventech and Covent Partners.

Founded in 2014, Ogury’s platform enables companies to tap into the behavioural data of almost 250 million mobile users to generate targeted advertising campaigns. The data is collected through a piece of software installed in some 10,000 apps.

Users are asked to opt in to the data collection, with Ogury claiming that between 60% and 70% of these requests are granted. If permission is denied, users will be asked a second time after a few months of untargeted advertising.

Ogury will use the money to further develop its platform and make it directly accessible to agencies and advertisers. The company is also looking to boost its US expansion efforts.

Ogury previously secured $2.1m in a 2014 seed round and $3.4m in a May 2015 series A. Although investor details were not disclosed at the time, ACG, Ventech and Covent have been named returning backers for the latest round.

Idinvest’s backers include insurance provider Allianz, media company Lagardère Group and recruitment firm Up Group.
