Oh BiBi, a France-based mobile games studio backed by mobile game producer Gumi, has secured $21m in a funding round led by Atomico that featured fellow venture capital firm Korelya Capital.
Founded in 2012, Oh BiBi develops smartphone games, and its portfolio includes business strategy title Motor World Car Factory, dinosaur breeding game Dino Factory and racing games LoL Kart and SUP Multiplayer Racing.
The company’s next release will be a first-person shooter called Frag for the Android and iOS operating systems. It will be free to play but monetised through in-app purchases, and will begin open beta testing this month.
Gumi and growth capital fund Time Equity Partners invested $4.1m in Oh Bibi in 2014, in a deal which gave Oh Bibi access to Gumi’s game development expertise.
