Telecommunications and internet group SoftBank has led a R$580m ($111m) series C round for Brazil-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) technology developer Omie, Reuters has reported.
Bogari Capital, Brasil Capital, Dynamo, Endeavor Catalyst, Hix Capital, Riverwood Capital and Velt filled out the round. Marcelo Lombardo, CEO and co-founder of Omie, told NeoFeed the deal is expected to precede an initial public offering.
Founded in 2013, Omie provides a software platform that helps micro and small-sized businesses manage finance operations, and includes billing, inventory, working capital management and a point-of-sale system.
The capital will be used to expand its customer base, increase headcount, conduct strategic acquisitions and offer additional services such as credit and cash management.
Riverwood Capital had provided $20m in series B funding for the company in 2019, which came after a $5m round the year before featuring Astella Investimentos.
