Onfleet, a US-based last-mile logistics software developer backed by customer science product developer Dunnhumby, has secured $14m in a series A round led by growth equity firm Kennet Partners.
Founded in 2015, Onfleet provides geopositioning-enabled software that is used by more than 1,000 enterprises to manage the last-mile delivery of goods supplied through their existing logistics networks.
The company will put the funding into recruitment as it seeks to broaden its product offering and expand into overseas markets. Javier Rovas, managing director at Kennet Partners, has joined its board of directors.
Onfleet said it has now raised $20m in funding to date. Stanford-StartX Fund, the VC vehicle aligned to Stanford University through the StartX accelerator, backed a $2m round for the company in 2015 alongside Tuesday Capital (then known as CrunchFund), Winklevoss Capital and assorted angel investors.
Dunnhumby Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of Dunnhumby, is also among the company’s earlier backers, as are Dorm Room Fund, SGH Capital, Viralety Ventures and Playfair Capital.
