OnMobile Global Solutions Canada, part of mobile entertainment provider OnMobile Global, has paid an undisclosed sum to fully acquire portfolio company Back to the Game, a Canada-based game analytics software provider.
Founded in 2017, Back to the Game has built a visual artificial intelligence and big data-equipped platform called Rob0 that helps game developers understand player behaviour and engagement level in a bid to improve their products.
OnMobile Global Solutions Canada had paid C$1m ($710,000) for a 25% stake in Back to the Game in May 2020. The acquisition is part of the corporate’s plan to create a direct-to-consumer mobile gaming platform dubbed Onmo.
Krish Seshadri, chief executive of OnMobile Global, said: “Rob0 has been an integral part of our cloud gaming product, Onmo. Rob0’s technology and vision AI picks the best parts of a game and helps Onmo create thousands of short, unique challenges for mobile casual esports players.”
