Japan-headquartered robotics technology developer RPA Holdings’ corporate venturing arm, Open Ventures, has partnered sister company Segment, the Japan-based owner of digital advertising platform Presco, to form a startup accelerator.
Open Acceleration will focus on online advertising and data technology startups, which will gain access to the Presco marketing tool and RPA’s robotics know-how. Open Ventures will also provide equity funding for the selected participants.
Open Ventures was formed in July 2020 and concentrates on pre-seed and seed-stage developers of automation, artificial intelligence, internet-of-things and regional revitalisation technologies.
Segment was meanwhile founded in 2012 under RPA’s auspices and provides web and mobile-based marketing services.
