OptiRTC, a US-based provider of software that monitors and controls stormwater infrastructure, has raised $5.5m from a consortium including geoenvironmental consulting firm Geosyntec Consultants.
The round was led by venture capital firm Ecosystem Integrity Fund (EIF) and included MissionPoint Partners, Renewal Funds and Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, all three of which are existing backers.
OptiRTC has developed software that monitors and controls stormwater infrastructure in real time. The funding will be used to help the company scale its business, which currently spans projects in 21 US states, and grow its sales capabilities.
Geosyntec spun OptiRTC out in October 2015 with VC firm MissionPoint adding an undislcoed amount of funding in the process.
