OrderMyGear bulks up with $35m

US-based sporting goods and group apparel e-commerce company OrderMyGear raised $35m yesterday from Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE), a subsidiary of quantitative trading and technology firm Susquehanna International Group.

OrderMyGear operates an e-commerce platform aimed at sporting goods retailers, apparel decorators and other merchants selling products to sports teams, athletes or other groups. The company said it processed approximately $200m in orders last year.

Ben Weinberg, managing director at SGE, and Aaron Flack, growth equity investor at SGE, will join OrderMyGear’s board of directors.

OrderMyGear previously closed a $550,000 investment from unnamed investors in 2014.

Weinberg said: “OrderMyGear is the clear technology leader in the market for group apparel purchases. The company’s suite of tools is driving a step change in efficiency and automation in the custom apparel industry, which has been slow to adopt technology historically.

“OrderMyGear is an ideal fit for us. We could not be more excited to join Kent and his team for this next phase of growth.”
