US-based payment processing service PayPal has chosen four new startups for its India-based incubator Start Tank, Tech in Asia reported on Friday.
The four startups are digital wallet app developer CashFree, mobile-based customer relationship management platform D-Rewards, business-to-consumer messaging service Notifie and Ftcash, a payment processing service specifically aimed at micro-merchants.
PayPal’s incubator focuses on businesses developing financial technologies such as digital wallets, payment gateways, remittances, biometric security and financial inclusion. The four were selected from a group of 125 applicants.
The program offers infrastructure support and business and technology mentoring, while also providing networking opportunities with both investors and clients. To date, six startups have graduated from Start Tank.
