PayPay Accelerator Program, a Japan-based accelerator operated by internet company Yahoo Japan’s YJ Capital subsidiary, mobile payment service PayPay and venture capital firm East Ventures, has revealed six participants.
The batch included cashless financial technology developer EnPay, and online freelancer portal Mosh and Foodcode, the creator of a customisable curry ordering platform called Toyko Mix Curry.
OsidOri, the creator of automated household accounting software, is completing the cohort along with Rym&Co, the provider of a flat-rate take-out app dubbed Potluck, and Seibii, which runs a car maintenance and repair dispatch service.
The startups will join the three-month curriculum where they will receive mentoring, technical assistance and business support from the three programme organisers, working toward developing a mini-app compatible with PayPay’s software environment.
Although the accelerator initiative does not entail funding, eligible companies will have the possibility of getting investments from YJ Capital and East Ventures after completing a demo day pencilled in for April 2021.
