PneumRx, a US-based developer of a device for helping emphysema patients, has raised $33m for its series C round with an undisclosed strategic corporate partner among its consortium.
Venture capital firms Forbion Capital Partners, which span out from Dutch bank ABN Amro at the end of 2006, and Endeavour Vision co-led the round as new investors and to help the company expand in Europe. The two were joined by peers Adams Street Partners, Telegraph Hill Partners, Alta Partners, Spray Venture Partners, Leader Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank.
PneumRx previously raised $27m in March 2007.
