Pontiflex, a US-based mobile advertising platform, has raised $7.7m in its series D round led by Talus Holdings, a media technology company principally backed by private equity firm Blackstone.
Venture capital firms RRE Ventures, New Atlantic Ventures and Tribeca Venture Partners also participated in the round.
The D round will primarily be used to accelerate the adoption of the company’s Pontiflex AdLeads product that enables local businesses to get customers by running ads on iOS and Android mobile apps.
In March 2011 Pontiflex raised $6m, after $6.25m in its B round in April 2009 from RRE, New Atlantic and investment bank Greenhill’s venture unit and $2.5m 12 months earlier.
In November, LocalVox Media, a US-based local, social and mobile marketing services provider formerly known as NearSay, raised $7.4m from Talus Holdings, a local media holding company principally owned by GSO Capital Partners, an affiliate of New York-listed private equity firm Blackstone.
