PrePlay swims into $4.7m

PrePlay,  a US-based mobile games company, has raised $4.7m in its series B round from a consortium including the owner of the Miami Dolphins sports team’s venture firm.

Alongside RSE Ventures, which is chaired and co-founded by Dolphins owner and property developer Stephen Ross, was venture capital firm Trilogy Equity Partners.

In July, PrePlay raised $3.1m in its A round from RSE and angel investors, including social media entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk.

Founded in April 2010, PrePlay allows people to predict live television shows through its two titles: PrePlay Football and Molson Canadian NHL PrePlay (pictured).
