Qualcomm Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of US-based mobile semiconductor producer Qualcomm, is opening an office in San Francisco, Axios has reported.
Qualcomm Ventures invests in mobile, automotive and connected devices technology as well as technology in emerging sectors. The unit’s head office is in San Diego, California, and it has offices in Israel, China, India, South Korea, Europe and Latin America.
Patrick Eggen, Qualcomm Ventures’ managing director for North America, will lead the office as managing director. Varun Jain will also take a position as senior investment manager.
