Quantenna receives $22m signal

US-based high performance wifi technology developer Quantenna Communications has closed a $22m funding round featuring home automation company Vivint and telecommunications service provider NTT.

Quantenna provides wifi semiconductor and software products, and introduced what it claims is the world’s first 10G wifi technology earlier this year. It will invest the funding in enhancing its technology and customer service.

The company had raised approximately $181.5m in debt and equity as of a $16.2m round raised in September this year, according to its SEC filings.

Past investors in Quantenna include telecommunications companies Swisscom and Telefónica Digital, Bright Capital, Grazia Equity and Southern Cross Venture Partners.
