Symplified, a US-based security company for online services, has raised $9.2m in its series B round from a consortium including Nasdaq-listed Quest Software.
Venture capital firms Granite Ventures and Allegis Capital also reinvested in Symplified’s latest round, which has taken its total total funding to $18.8m.
Symplified previously raised $3.5m in May 2009, according to its regulatory filing, and the year before closed on $6m for its series A round from Granite and Allegis, which specializes in building corporate partnerships.
John Millburn, vice-president and general manager of identity and access management for Quest Software, said: "Symplified has developed the first complete identity and access management platform for the cloud."
Symplified said it had one million licensed users for its cloud identity and
access management service and was set up by Securant | ClearTrust, an identity management software vendor acquired by RSA Security for $140m.
