Susana Quintana-Plaza (pictured), who had led all innovation activities for Germany-based energy utility Eon, is understood to have joined industrial conglomerate Siemens. She was unavailable to comment but her former Eon colleagues confirmed her move.
As senior vice-president (SVP) of technology and innovation at Eon and a member of the Global Corporate Venturing Powerlist in 2016, Quintana-Plaza had led a team making 16 investments through the Eon Strategic Co-Investments (SCI) group since 2014.
Philipp Ulbrich is the new head of Eon SCI and will oversee a budget of more than €100m ($120m) for scouting, testing, development and the initial launch of new products and business models at the group, as well as its corporate venture capital activities.
Frank Meyer has been the overall SVP of innovation at Eon since November 2016.
