Radius, a US-based digital marketing company backed by telecom provider Comcast and payment services firm American Express, secured $54.7m in a series C round on Tuesday.
The round also included venture capital firms BlueRun Ventures, Western Technology Investments, Formation 8 and Founders Fund, private investment firm Glynn Capital Management, angel investor group Slow Ventures, Yuan Capital and private investors.
Radius is a marketing intelligence platform that aids companies in understanding their customers. The funding will be used to support the company’s engineering, data science and marketing teams.
“This funding round is nothing short of fantastic,” said Radius founder and chief executive Darian Shirazi. “The additional capital insures we have the financial bandwidth to further execute on our business plan and expand our data science initiatives.”
Radius, formerly known as FWIX, raised $12.4m in series B funding in 2012 that was led by American Express, and which also featured BlueRun Ventures. It secured $6.8m in series A funding from BlueRun and Comcast subsidiary Comcast Ventures in 2013.
