Randstad breaches Goodwall in series A round

Goodwall, a US-based professional development network for young people, has raised $10.8m in a series A round co-led by Randstad Innovation, the corporate venturing arm of recruitment agency Randstad.

Private equity firm Manixer co-led the round, which included financial services firm Zurich Cantonal Bank as well as Verve Capital Partners, the operator of crowdsourcing platform Investiere.ch, and angel investor Francis Clivaz.

Founded in 2014, Goodwall runs an online professional network for 14 to 24-year olds, allowing them to build a profile detailing their experience and education in order to connect with higher education institutions and employers for jobs and internships.

The company received an undisclosed amount from Business Angels Switzerland in 2015 before adding $2.1m in an early 2016 seed round backed by a group of angel investors led by Clivaz through Investiere.

Paul Jacquin, managing partner at Randstad Innovation Fund, said: “We are excited to support the Goodwall team in building a new segment with college and graduate demographics after their success in creating a unique and positive community to gain support, receive guidance and opportunities.”
