Relationship Science connects to $29m

Relationship Science, a US-based business networking tool backed by a consortium including media company Hearst Corporation and global insurance and investment firm CV Starr, has raised $29m, according to an SEC filing

The company previously raised $45.4m in October 2012, $24.3m in January 2012 and $5.4m in January 2011.

Previous investors in Relationship Science, besides Hearst Corporation and CV Starr, are US private equity veteran Henry Kravis, Ron Perelman’s holding company MacAndrews & Forbes, Lord Rothschild’s fund management firm RIT Capital, venture capital firm RRE Ventures, financial investor Weld North, and also Ken Langone, Stanley Druckenmiller, Barry Sternlicht, Andrew Tisch, Harvey Golub and Joe Perella.

Neal Goldman, co-founder of financial database CapitalIQ, is chairman and chief executive officer of Relationship Science. He is also co-founder of Goode Holdings, an investment holding company with interests in the information technology and financial services sectors that is the sponsor of a $225m private capital fund focused on investing in middle market consumer companies.
