Enterprise internet-of-things (IoT) technology provider Relayr has acquired Neokami, a US-based data security technology developer and graduate of Wayra Germany, an accelerator run by telecom group Telefónica, for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in Germany, Neokami is developing artificial intelligence-equipped technology that can rapidly and securely process data. Relayr will be able to utilise the technology to help business customers build security features into their IoT products.
The company received $1.1m in seed funding from Josef Brunner and Tom Noonan, the co-founders of data centre energy management company JouleX, in July 2015.
