Remesh gets $10m answer to funding question

Remesh, a US-based market research software developer and a graduate of financial services firm Barclays’ Accelerator, has raised $10m in a series A round led by venture capital firm General Catalyst.

VC fund North Coast Angel Fund, Techstars Ventures, which operates as the VC arm of accelerator operator Techstars, and LionBird Ventures, the VC firm that led Remesh’s $2.25m seed round in April 2017, also took part in the series A.

Remesh has created a software platform that utilises a chat interface and artificial intelligence technology to track, analyse and categorise reactions and answers to open-ended questions from audiences in real time.

The 2017 seed round also featured holding company Reimagine Holdings Group and unnamed other investors, some having previously helped supply $1.6m in pre-seed capital for the company.

Andrew Konya, co-founder and chief executive of Remesh, said: “We have already made amazing progress at the intersection of AI, human interaction design and understanding people. This round marks the next significant step forward.”
