AAA Reply answers startups’ call

Reply answers startups’ call

Breed Reply, the UK-based internet of things (IoT) incubator run by digital services company Reply, recruited three more startups to is portfolio on Tuesday, increasing it to a total of 11 companies.

The startups in question are Netherlands-based agritech company Connecterra, UK-based consumer wellness business Kokoon and France-based cybersecurity technology developer Sentryo.

Connecterra is using sensors and deep learning to monitor the health and breeding cycles of dairy cattle. The technology collects data on the animals in real time and makes it available through a cloud-based platform that offers analytics and behavioural pattern prediction.

Kokoon has created headphones that adapt to a wearer’s body and surroundings to improve sleep quality, waking the user at the optimal point to ensure they feel refreshed. Kokoon graduated from hardware accelerator Hax last year and SOSV, the accelerator’s fund, has also taken part in this funding round.

Finally, Sentryo’s technology monitors a network to identify suspicious events through machine learning algorithms. The product is aimed at industrial infrastructure, targeting the energy, transportation, telecommunications and aerospace markets.

Emanuele Angelidis, chief executive of Breed Reply, said: “With our portfolio moving from strength to strength, some of them now entering the market and gaining follow on investments, we are delighted to welcome Connecterra, Kokoon and Sentryo to our fast growing portfolio of startups.”
