eReader software company Rethink Books secured $2m in series A funding on Tuesday led by computer maintenance firm Ambassador Technologies, according to technology finance website TechCrunch. The investment follows a $250,000 seed round raised in April last year.
Earlier in the year Rethink released FirstChapters, an eReader application that allows users to read the first few chapters of a physical book on their eReaders once the book has been scanned, with the option of buying the eBook version through online retailers.
Rethink also stated in the TechCrunch article that it will be aiming its output towards the Christian and evangelical portion of the market.
