RightScale, a US-based provider of enterprise cloud management services, has raised $15.6m in its series D round, according to a regulatory filing.
RightScale, which was a partner in IBM Cloud Service Provider Platform of hardware, software and services to help phone operators deliver virtual computing services, previously raised $25m in September 2010’s series C round from a consortium including Presidio Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of Japan-based conglomerate Sumitomo.
RightScale’s other investors in the C round included venture capital firms Tenaya Capital, DAG Ventures, Benchmark Capital and Index Ventures and it has raised about $58m in its history.
The $13m B round closed in December 2008 and the $4.5m A round in April that year.
Its customers include Caltech, Care Innovations (an Intel-GE company), Citrix Online, Conde Nast, Coty, Equinix, Fox Digital Media, Inmobi, JWT, Leo Burnett, Softbank Technology, Telepictures Productions (a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company), Tibco and Zurich Insurance.
