Pyreos, a UK-based infrared technology company, has reportedly raised £5.5m ($8.6m).
The second round deal was led by Robert Bosch Venture Capital, a corporate venturing unit of Germany-based industrial group Bosch, according to news provider the Scotsman. Siemens Technology Accelerator, part of Germany-based industrial group Siemens, Scottish Investment Bank’s Scottish Venture Fund and clients of venture firm Braveheart Ventures also invested.
The company, founded in 2007, owns patents covering infrared technology which had been developed by Siemens in its corporate research facilities in Munich, the Scotsman added.
Initial funding for the company was provided by investors including Braveheart, Scottish Enterprise and Siemens Technology Accelerator.
