Robinhood, a US-based zero-fee stock trading service that raised seed money from internet company Google, has raised $13m in its series A round.

Venture capital firm Index Ventures led the round, which also included peers Ribbit Capital, Slow Ventures and Queensbridge Venture Partners, and angel investors Howard Lindzon, Aaron Levie, Snoop Dogg and Jared Leto.

Robinhood previously raised $3m in December 2013 from Index and Andreessen Horowitz.
