Rocket Fuel, a US-based online advertising services company, has raised $6.6m in its series C round at a $160m valuation and opened its European base in London. Venture capital firm Northgate Capital, which is majority funded by India-based industrial conglomerate Religare Enterprises, led the C round, and was joined by peers Mohr Davidow Ventures and Labrador Ventures, law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and Nokia Growth Partners.
In September Mobile phone maker Nokia’s corporate venturing division led the $10m series B round for Rocket Fuel, and was joined by Northgate, Mohr Davidow and Labrador.
At the time of the B round, Rocket Fuel said it had raised $20m since its launch last year, although its only previous public disclosure was $3m in December from a group led by Mohr Davidow.
