Rockfish Brand Ventures, a corporate venturing unit of advertising agency Rockfish, has made its first investment since starting in March by providing an undisclosed amount to Tap.Me a US-based in-game advertising service.
Rockfish joins angel investors Bullet Time Ventures, i2A Fund and Hyde Park Angels, which provided more than $1m to Tap.me in January.
Joshua Hernandez, chief executive of Tap.Me, said: "The Rockfish Brand Ventures team brings us more than financial backing, but crucial knowledge of the digital space that is literally priceless."
Rockfish Brand Ventures said it would provide 10 start-ups with capital over the next one to two years, as well as technology and marketing support with the aim of improving the marketing return on investment of its clients. Rockfish clients will have first access to its portfolio companies for marketing and potential co-investment.
