Rohit Dave to run WeWork Creator Fund

US-based co-working space provider WeWork has promoted senior director and head of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) Rohit Dave to vice-president and head of its corporate venturing unit, Creator Fund.

Dave will remain head of M&A, a role he has held since May 2018. He came from enterprise software producer Twilio, where he had spent almost two years as senior manager of corporate development, partnerships and investment subsidiary TwilioFund.

WeWork Creator Fund was set up in October 2018 and has since backed startups developing technologies focused on the future of work, including workplace access technology developer Proxy and career development platform operator Landit.

WeWork also conducts M&A deals, having acquired office maintenance services provider Managed by Q and spatial analytics platform Euclid Analytics in recent months. It launched an accelerator called WeWork Labs last month to invest $1m in 10 foodtech startups.
