RTP Ventures, a $120m US venture fund affiliated to Russia-based IT investment conglomerate Ru-Net, has invested $9m in GridGain Systems, a Java-based in-memory data platform provider that processes big data in real time.
The series B round in the San Mateo, California-based business follows a series A round in December 2011 of $2.5m, again led by RTP Ventures.
GridGain’s customers include web and mobile businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and top government agencies.
