US-based sales platform InsideSales completed $60m a series D round led by cloud computing company Salesforce.com’s corporate venturing unit Salesforce Ventures yesterday that also featured software producer Microsoft.
Venture capital firms Polaris Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), Hummer Winblad, US Venture Partners and Zetta Venture Partners also participated in the round.
InsideSales has developed a sales platform dubbed Neuralytics that uses big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence to identify sales patterns and make continuously improving recommendations to sales teams.
The company raised $100m in an April 2014 series C round led by Polaris, and which also included Salesforce Ventures, KPCB, Acadia Woods, Epic Ventures, Hummer Winblad, US Venture Partners and Zetta.
The previous year InsideSales secured $35m in series B funding from US Venture Partners and Hummer Winblad. Hummer Winblad also led a $4m series A round in 2012 also backed by angel investor Josh James.
The latest capital injection will enable InsideSales to continue development of its Neuralytics platform and to grow its customer base.
