Salesforce Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of enterprise software provider Salesforce.com, has led a $6m extension to a series A round for Talkdesk, a US-based provider of software for call centres.
The round also included DFJ and Storm Ventures, the venture capital firms that funded Talkdesk’s initial $15m series A round in June this year. The company has now raised approximately $24.6m in funding since it was founded in 2011.
Talkdesk supplies cloud-based software for call centres that helps businesses improve customer interaction and save money, while requiring only a computer and an internet connection. The funding will be used to expand its engineering, product and sales teams.
