US-based student employment platform Viridis Learning took its total funding to almost $7.5m last week, adding Salesforce Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of enterprise software provider Salesforce, to its investor base.
Viridis has built a software platform that connects students to relevant employers, using information from student information systems, government databases and the wider job market.
Salesforce Ventures and investment firm Thayer Ventures were named as new investors by Viridis in an announcement last week.
Comcast Ventures and CNF Investments, the respective corporate venturing vehicles for mass media firm Comcast and construction company Clark Enterprises, combined with Blue Ridge Foundation, Dauk/Wagner Investments, Expansion Venture Capital and Ulu Ventures to invest an undisclosed amount in Viridis in 2013.
Lumina Foundation, University Ventures, Carver Family Office, Serious Change, NVC Investments and unnamed angel investors added $3.2m in August 2016.
