Salesforce helps Simplus add series B funding

US-based quote-to-cash services provider Simplus has completed a $9.3m series B round featuring enterprise software producer Salesforce’s corporate venturing unit, Salesforce Ventures.

The round was led by Epic Ventures and included Cross Creek Advisors and undisclosed additional investors. Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) supplied an extra $8.5m in debt financing alongside the equity portion.

Simplus, a Platinum Salesforce Partner, helps enterprises use cloud technology to improve their business, supplying services such as advisory, implementation, change management and custom configuration for their customer relationship management.

Part of the series B proceeds will be used to acquire CRM Manager, a Salesforce implementation, integration, training and consulting services provider, for an undisclosed amount.

Simplus had raised $7m in an October 2016 series A round led by Epic Ventures and backed by Salesforce Ventures and SVB, after securing $4.2m in seed capital from SVB, Epic, Infinite Investments, Prelude Service, Provider Capital and various angel investors in 2015.
