Highspot, a US-based developer of sales assistance software, has completed a $35m series C round that included Salesforce Ventures, customer relationship management software producer Salesforce’s corporate venturing unit.
OpenView led the round, which was also backed by fellow venture capital firms Madrona Venture Group and Shasta Ventures. Blake Bartlett, a partner at OpenView, will join Highspot’s board of directors.
Founded in 2012, Highspot has built an artificial intelligence-equipped software platform that facilitates sales through a variety of tools. Users can prepare detailed customer guides, find and personalise content for buyers and assess the most effective techniques and materials.
Madrona had led a $9.6m series A round for Highspot in 2014 before returning for a $15m series B round in June 2017 that was led by Shasta Ventures and backed by Salesforce Ventures. The company has now raised $64m altogether, it said.
Matt Garratt, a managing partner at Salesforce Ventures, said: “Highspot discovered a market pain point and answered with an innovative, advanced sales enablement solution. “We are proud to be partnered with a pioneering company that has highlighted the importance of sales enablement.”
Robert Wahbe, co-founder and CEO of Highspot, added: “Having achieved a leadership position in the sales enablement space, Highspot is poised to scale globally. Our growing team is attracting industry top talent, which is accelerating innovation and fueling our hyper growth.”
