SAP rejoins Retail Solutions

Retail Solutions, a data analysis company for consumer packaged goods formerly known as T3Ci, has raised $15.2m in its series C round, which included Germany-based enterprise software group SAP’s corporate venturing division.

SAP Ventures reinvested in Retail Solutions’ third round, which was led by Sweden-listed asset manager Investor’s Growth Capital subsidiary. The other consortium investors were venture capital firms Venrock, Bessemer Venture Partners and Red Rock Ventures.

Jonathan Golovin, executive chairman of Retail Solutions, said: "We selected Investor Growth Capital in order to leverage [its] long-established global platform and deep relationship network in Europe and Asia."

For several decades, Investor, which was formed by the Wallenberg family as an industrial conglomerate, has large shareholdings in European multinational corporations, including ABB, AstraZeneca, Atlas Copco, Electrolux, Ericsson and SEB.

More than 350 companies, such as 3M, Abbott, Bausch & Lomb, Bayer, Colgate-Palmolive, Clorox, Heineken, HP, Kao Brands, Kraft, Nestlé, Novartis, Procter & Gamble, Reckitt-Benckiser, Schering-Plough and Unilever, use Retail Solutions’ software as a service.

The company closed its series B round in November 2005 at $8.75m and its series A round the year before at $9.4m.
