US-based workplace productivity platform developer Sapho has closed a $14m series B round that included Bloomberg Beta, the corporate venturing subsidiary of media group Bloomberg.
The round was led by venture capital firm Caffeinated Capital and also featured Felicis Ventures, Alsop Louie Partners, SoftTech VC, Morado Ventures and AME Cloud Ventures.
Founded in 2014, Sapho has developed a product that uses micro apps to prioritise tasks from a range of systems into a single interface that gives a user the necessary information to streamline their work. The company claims the platform triples productivity.
The series B funding will be used to grow Sapho’s sales team as it looks to expand use of the product, which was launched in June 2016, internationally.
Bloomberg Beta initially took part in Sapho’s $3m seed round in 2014, investing together with SoftTech VC, private investors Brad Jones and Andy Rankin, and Raymond Tonsing, the founder and managing director of Caffeinated Capital.
Alsop Louie Partners subsequently led a $9.5m series A round in June 2016 that included all the series B participants bar Felicis Ventures.
