Cloud-software developer Sauce Labs has closed a $3m series B round led by venture firm Triage Ventures. The round also saw participation from cloud-computing company Salesforce.com.
The funding is the second investment made by Triage, which invested an undisclosed amount in the firm during an angel funding round.
Sauce Labs has now raised a total $4.12m in venture funding. The San Francisco-based firm successfully raised a $1.12m series A round from undisclosed investors in July 2009.
The company also simultaneously announced the public release of a new app testing cloud for iOS, Mac OS, and Android. The company says their new service will reduce costs and time-to-market for iPad, iPhone and Android devices.
“Our new round of investment will be used to increase the size of our testing cloud, support new platforms and build new collaborative debugging tools,” said John Dunham, CEO of Sauce Labs. “Our testing cloud is growing exponentially. We’re going to step on the gas and build a bigger business to meet the world’s massive demand for cloud-based testing.”
