Care provider Schön Klinik has acquired Aurora Health, a Germany-based mental health tracking app developer that has graduated from media company Axel Springer’s Axel Springer Plug and Play Accelerator, EU-Startups has reported.
Founded in 2016, Aurora is the developer of Moodpath, which that helps mental health professionals recognise signs of mental illness, particularly depression, through a real-time mood tracking app. It also offers access to potentially beneficial resources for their patients.
The companies have not disclosed the size of the deal, but Aurora had also received an undisclosed amount of funding from venture capital firm HV Holtzbrinck Ventures in 2017.
