New Asset Exchange (NAX), a US-based digital asset technology startup founded by Jeff Schumacher, also founder of corporate venturing unit BCG Digital Ventures, launched on Wednesday having raised $65m in funding.
NAX is the developer of a software platform that enables users to create asset-backed products, securities and ventures for institutional trading.
Investment firm TNF Investments headed a consortium of 12 otherwise undisclosed corporate, institutional and family office investors that provided the capital for NAX at a $300m valuation.
Schumacher, also NAX’s chief executive, set up BCG Digital Ventures for consulting firm Boston Consulting Group in 2013 and headed it as CEO until he left in January 2019 to set up the startup.
