US-based IT monitoring software developer ScienceLogic raised $43m yesterday in a series D round backed by Intel Capital, the corporate venturing arm of chip maker Intel.
Investment bank Goldman Sachs led the round, which also included venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates (NEA).
ScienceLogic’s technology identifies a company’s entire IT infrastructure both on site and in the cloud, and implements a range of monitoring policies to ensure health and to track the availability of all systems.
The company had previously raised a total of $41m in three funding rounds, with Intel Capital participating in its $15m series B round in 2012 and a 2013 series C round that raised $11m.
NEA invested in all three previous rounds, including ScienceLogic’s $15m series A round in 2010.
ScienceLogic will use the series D funding to increase its sales and marketing efforts and continue development of its software, and will also explore international expansion.
